Should be getting the last of my parts in tomorrow, and this should pretty much be it for the non-cosmetic stuff. I am getting a bit of oil in a few plug holes :( which is the most likely causing my slight miss. But when I am done with this, my little $750 beemer is ready to mosh :evil2. I still swear this car is way faster than it should be from what I have read. I will have to time again...

The things I have done before are in my other old threads...

I am installing a new set of front brembo rotors and PBR Ceramic Pads, new brake sensor too. I also got a new cabin air filter (god knows how long the old one was there...), valve cover set with new bolt grommets.

I plan on refinishing my valve cover a bit since the idiot that did it last used some shitty paint and it is the only thing keeping my engine bay from looking brand new.

On the 7th (or tomorrow if a certain deal goes through), I will be ordering new fogs to replace the last missing piece... then the car will be 100% functional! :redspot

Anyway, I will post what trials and troubles I have along the way putting this stuff in, I just hope I dont break anything in the process... :nono

Cheers

Cool. I'm waiting for a set of Brembo blanks and Raybestos QS to arrive any day now. I'm not replacing the brake sensor though - do you think it's necessary?

from what I have read (which is just about everywhere), it is recommended to replace it cause once it goes off, it will not reset. But I guess if you change out in time, and it hasnt become brittle from the heat, it would be possible...

I am waiting for my cylinder head to get back from being refurbished. Then I can go crazy installing all my new engine bits and flushing the cooling system. Then I can do an oil change and hopefully start it up!

note: If anyone has ever timed a m30, shoot me a pm. I don't want to bend any valves and I am a tad confused after reading the bently manual.

Hey try powder coating your covers. Did both of mine for 50 bucks and its a 1000 times more durable than paint. Check out the pic.

Nice. Did you use one of those do it yourself kits or did you take it somewhere?
