cheades 04-30-2007, 06:25 PM For an e30 just do a z3 shift lever or e36 m3 bent straight, much cheaper and works just as well.
m.olennick 04-30-2007, 06:26 PM I'm hoping UUC will finish (or start if they are just saying they have begun) work on the DSSR for the E28! Great luck with your hunt, you won't be disappointed in the shifter once you've located it.

Ty Vil 05-02-2007, 12:19 AM Trust me do the upgrade.
I went from an ACS SSK to the UUC evo3 with DSSR in my E36 M3 and couldn't have been happier.

I do. Well worth it in my opinion. My car is a e36 325is with the evo 3 and dssr. Friend of mine is running a z4 shifter in his e36 325is, i like the feel of mine, even thought it was 3x the cost. Ive got a heavy uuc shift knob as well. The combo of the ssk and heavy knob is a wonder to drive.

Hey I recognize your car from the VW/Euro meets at James Village last year. Good deal!
Anyway, I have the this setup in mine also and I would say it's well worth it. You should be able to pick up a semi used setup off someone for a better price. Just look around, you'll find one.
You might even shoot Rob a PM and ask if they have any off their race cars laying around that you could buy at discount and then get whatever tune up parts from them too.

I didn't know the 5/5 drive was what you were referring to. I thought it was from the James Village crew that were doing something. Unfortunately I have plans this weekend and wont be able to attend this one.:(
