I have a can of fuel injector cleaner and I want to do a hot soak, but I can't seem to find a good do it yourself step-by-step. I search the site and google it, no dice. One of the e34 website has the procedure but it involve using water to kind of rinse off which makes me a bit nervous. I remember Bavauto having the step-by-step but coudn't find it on the website. Any info or site?

that's actually a really good procedure.. i would do that - but in your case use fuel injection cleaner.

but no water, just let drink it down hot...let it sit awhile then fire 'er up and fog the neighborhood.

Ok, I'll do it without the water. Have anybody in here actually done it with the water and all?

I did it with seafoam, lots of white smoke, I didnt use any water. I never noticed any difference, but I was just doing it to clean the injectors, didtnt have the ping problem.
