As of a couple years ago when I looked around, the only place around that had a dynamic road force balancer in the area was Niello BMW. Wanna Pay $400 for a balance?

Hopefully now there are some more options.

Yep. It loads the tire with 1500 lbs of pressure which is applied by a metal roller arm attached to a hydraulic ram. A balance is best under these conditions. A machine which simoky spins the tire is simply checking for true roundness and compensating for out of round by adding little weights. By placing the load weight on the tire as it spins, the dynamic road force balancer actually simulates the tire's real wold use, eg: 1000-1500lbs per tire.

there's a place off of watt ave @ I-80 on Orange Grove. Follow orange grove untill you see a SMOG station sign on your right hand side(if you're comming off of watt ave).

I think he has a Hunter 6700 road force balancing machine and he only charges about $8/wheel to balance it. The downside is that you have to have the tires already mounted when you go there because he doesn't have the machine to mount your tires.

hope it helps.
