will ther obd1 325i turbo kit, work on my 92' 525i. or am i just better off to go to a m3 engine and turbo kit

That is a good question... Is there a turbo kit for the S50? I would think it would be possible to hook something like that up to an M50 as they are quite similar...

There are kits for both the m50/s50. The m50 kit would work for the most part, but you would need to change the piping around as the e36 and e34 have different engine bays. The dowpipe may need to be changed as well.

Trying to put an s50 kit on an m50 is just a bad idea. If you swap in an s50 then its all good, but piping and what not would still need to be changed.

The biggest problem with using a 3 series kit is the turbo manifold from what I understand. The turbo will not fit on the 3 series manifold in the E34 bay. That is why Urinemachine re-routed the turbo to the top/front.
