What is the size of the throttle body?

Is it a return or returnless fuel system?

Is the engine sleeved?

What is the size of the stock fuel injectors and what fuel pressure do they run at?

That's all I can think of right now...just trying to get familiar with the engine.

Yikes,
When I get familiar with an engine it's where do I check the oil, add washer fluid, etc..... :rolleyes

The 3.0 in the Z4 is the same as any other BMW that year. If I had those questions, I'd ask in the "Forced Induction" forum here on BFC, or simply do a search on 3-liter there - anyone that's going FI would need to know those same things.

lol

Well I'm the type of person who likes to get pretty specific and plus, if I do get the car, I have some very interesting plans for it after the warranty ends.

Actually, if I do get the car, I wouldn't be going forced induction ;)

I didn't say you were, but the guys that DO go that route need to know that sort of information about the engine. Most of what you see on this forum is suspension mods, performance chips and cold air intakes, none of which require much info about injector capacity and cylinder sleeves. The Dinan website should have your throttle-body info, as they sell a bored-out version for the M54B30 (the 3-liter engine).

the fuel pressure regulator is built in to the fuel filter under the car. so from the filter onwards, there's only one fuel line.

no, I don't think the engines are sleeved. far as I know it's a solid aluminum block.

Ok cool, I figured it might be a returnless fuel system for the reason of emissions and now they are doing that on just about every car lol

Thanks for the info.
