All of a sudden my camera started adding what looks to be water spots on my pictures.. well I have like 1200 pics or so that I needed to edit and I'm looking at a lot of them and A LOT of them have the water-like lines running down the pictures.. most noticbly on the right side of the pictures. I looked at my lens and there is nothing on there :confused I'm now shooting in Manual mode too... can anyone help with these spots? if so, what did you do to remove them? thanks in advanced...

You could go through and blend it all with the paint brush but that would take really long. But this is one of those client-is-willing-to-pay-anything moments.. then that's what you should do. Otherwise you should buy a new camera or something...

maybe cleaning the inner part of the lens, where it connects to the camera

That is really strange.
Notice that the marks run vertical with the layout... NOT the camara. Do the marks look the same on pics that you don't have angled? Do they appear in the non-rolling shots as well?

they happen now in non-rolling shots too...and it looks as if it follows the camera no matter the angle.. wonderful.. fucking camera is less then a year old and has worked great until now...

35mm?
try taking lens out and spraying it with compressed air.
do the same with the whole camera.
change lenses and do another shoot and see if its still the same.
could also be on the reflecting mirror

well I think it might have been because my "F" setting was all of the way up :dunno I just went out and shot a couple quick shots with how I had it set yesteday and then turned down the F and adjusted the other exposure setting and I saw those marks again on the settings I had yesterday and didn't show up on the pics with the F turned down :dunno

SO... I take it that reducing the F-stop setting solved the problem?
I guess you were just getting too much light for the exposure and shutter settings? I noticed that it was more pronounced in the areas of lighter/brighter values.
Anyway, I'm glad it's NOT a camara/lens issue.
I just had to send my Cybershot back to Sony to get it repaired. Luckily, they fully covered shipping and repair.
ALL my pictures would look like this:

To anybody reading this who has a cybershot, check with SONY support. They'll only be resolving this issue for free until this OCTOBER.
