How do I remove the headliner from the sunroof? It's a steel sunroof.

Forgot to mention it's a 1996 E38 740i.

Got it out!

The way to do it:

- Open the roof about 2 to 4mm (slide way)
- Now you can push back the bottom headliner.
- Close the roof
- Unscrew the 3 bolts at the rear of the sunroof.
- Unscrew the 2 torxbolts in the front (difficult to see, it sits above the rail)
- Gently get the steel sunroof out.
- Unscrew 3 torxbolts at both sides above the inner headliner. You'll see them when you slide it out.

Refitting is vice versa.
