Is there some place I can see all of the available packages/options for 03/04? (ie. premium, convenience, sport, etc). I know these are listed in various places but does one centralized place exist? (like renntech for porsche).

Thanks

The prices of the packages, or the packages themselves, like in the dealer brochure? (http://home.att.net/~epbrown01/2003z4brochure.pdf)

That's part of it. Sounds like they had "packages" that grouped some of those options together. Or were those just "all of the options that weren't standard in each area"?

Just trying to help judge when reading ads that say "premium sound package, HK package, convenience package" so that I know exactly what they are refering to.

I don't see an equivalent 2004 or 2005 version there. They available anywhere?

Thank you kindly

For 2003 and 2004, the packages were all the same: Premium, Sport, and Convenience. In 2005 they dropped the Convenience Package and added the bits to the Premium one. Sport added the suspension, upgraded wheels, and Sport button (Dynamic Driving Control). Premium adds mostly the power options (seats, top, bit of leather, rain-sensing wipers, etc). Convenience adds a few storage nets. The remaining options (heated seats, extended leather, satellite navigation, and the like) were ordered ala carte. The premium sound package/Harmon Kardon bit and a few other things were standard on 3-liters, as shown in the brochure.

The most desirable options are generally thought to be the sport package (more fun and you don't get the button without it), heated seats (extend the top-down season), xenon lights (great visibility), and sport seats (available in 2004). My car came with NONE of these - I hadn't discovered the forums when I started shopping. :)

And about "packages" ... when I was shopping for mine, the packages were different on "Canadian" models....

Just came across another resource: http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/newsID/2031013.001/page/1/country/gcf/lang/eng/bmw/2004-bmw-z4-roadster-in-depth

as for the 2005 what what are the changes besides the headlights, taillights, 3rd brake light and side round signals?

I lucked out myself. The car came had what I deemed necessary which was the Sport package and Xenons. It also came with the Premium package and Convenience package. It also had a la carte options such as wood interior, beige top, graphite finish trim, and Carver Sound.

I came across at least one source that said the Premium Sound was standard on the 3.0i, but from the brochure it appears it was an option. Whatever the case the system rocks!
