Hello all,

It has been quite a while since I posted on here. I try not to visit the forums too frequently because I then just want to purchase things for my car which isnt in my budget at the time. Anyways, this account was created a long time ago which I hope gives my post some credibility. This account was not created just for this post.

Umnitza has provided me awful service. I initially ordered Projector46's + 6000K Prolumen HID's for my E46. I needed them painted silver to match my car. I did not receive the lights until 5+ weeks later. It wasnt a big deal...thought it was just a one time mistake.

Six months later, my drivers side ballast goes out. Luckily for me, I have an old Prolumen ballast from the lights I purchased previously from Umnitza for my old E36 (that was totaled by a deer). I switch the ballast and all is good until 2 weeks ago.

Two weeks ago, I started having problems with my passenger side light turning off every few minutes. This was during the early part of the week and I knew I would not have time to rip apart my lights until the weekend. So I contacted Umnitza and requested a replacement ballast and specifically state I want 2nd day shipping so that I could have it by the weekend when I would have time to fix it. I put down a $50 deposit and they state shipping is $5. $5 seems awfully cheap for 2nd day shipping from CA to my home in Pennsylvania so I email them back and ask "Are you sure $5 is enough for 2nd day shipping". They reply yes so I send the $55 total and wait. (This is a Wednesday)

Friday, no ballast. Saturday, no ballast. Eventually on Monday I receive the ballast via USPS priority mail. What the heck, I specifically asked for 2nd day shipping and then confirmed. I even stated 2nd day shipping with my payment. USPS priority mail certainly is not 2nd day shipping which explains why I did not receive the ballast for 4 full days (5 including Sunday).

So on Monday I swap the ballast and am still having problems. Great. So I spend an hour trying to diagnose the problem. I switch bulbs and determine its a faulty HID bulb. I email them, explain the situation and get a price to overnight a bulb to me. They tell me it'll cost $45 so I send the money via Paypal first thing Tuesday morning. Wednesday comes and I do not receive the bulb. I contact them Thursday late afternoon for me, early afternoon for them, and they ask if I paid for overnight shipping. I reply yes that I sent $45 Tuesday morning and provided the receipt. Plenty of time for them to still ship the item out on Wednesday so I can have it on Thursday. They do not get back to me for 8+ hours and by now its Wednesday night (too late to ship it out on this day). They say we are sorry we only just now received confirmation that they received the money. This is baloney. I provided them a receipt. They state they will ship it out first thing on Thursday so I can have it on Friday. At this point I am extremely frustrated and irate.

Now I return home Thursday evening to an email received at 9PM stating that my paypal payment did not have my verified shipping address. And I quote "We still await an answer on your address. Please advise what your confirmed paypal address is." They act like they've already contacted me about this when in fact this is the first time. I check to verify my address was not attached and this is correct. I have no idea why, paypal's default is to attach the verified address and I certainly did not uncheck it. Anyways, this is neither their fault nor mine. An honest mistake. My problem is that they did not contact me until it was too late to ship the item out for yet another day. They've had the 2+ days to let me know the address was not there. If they went to sent it Thursday morning like they said they were going to and noticed no address then why not contact me immediately so I can provide it to them and they can still have it shipped the same day. Why couldnt they take 30 seconds and look at my previous paypal payment from less then a week earlier which my address was on.

Cliff notes:
I have had a faulty Prolumen ballast and 6000K HID bulb go bad in one years time. They've been extremely late in shipping on three different occasions. Umnitza is very unorganized and nothing more then a complete headache. Umnitza has certainly lost me as a customer and I highly recommend that nobody purchases anything from them and instead purchase from another similar company which I am sure offers much better service.

AVOID!

Best regards,

Derek Charles

They do have lifetime warranties. That is why I contacted Umnitza, whom I purchased them from, to get them replaced. You still have to pay for shipping and they also require a deposit until they receive the old item and can verify its faulty and not something I did.

My complaint isnt about the faulty products although I am disappointed I've already had 2 failures within ones years time. My complaint is with Umnitza's poor service and late/incorrect shipment three straight times. Once, ok. Two and three times is a problem.

Yup they supposedly have lifetime warranty to my past experience.

I bought a kit from them and first they sent me the wrong temp for my HIDs and "convinced" me that the 6000k they gave me were new and put out more light output which was my main concern. My brother had ordered the exact same kit with 6000k about 2 weeks prior to me making my decision. We tested the bulbs side to side... and wow they were the same color same output same everything so he lied to me about it being "new and improved". I decided to keep them anyways.

About a year down the road my ballast goes out and I call Ouri he helps me out tells me what to do. He was like take the ballast and switch them because I had one working side and one non working side. If it works then he will ship me a new ballast free of charge... That never happened... I ended up buying a ballast from another place. I posted on the forums about the situation and he told me that he never told me to "open the ballast up which voided my warranty... but the only way to uhh really switch the ballast in a reasonable fashion is taking the ballast out and just switching it rather than undoing all the wires to switch it.

They also tried to make me ship my ballast in on my behalf of paying for shipping and pay $25.00 to have it tested... That's retarded because I got two new ballast for 14.00

lets clear up a few minor "inaccuracies" you so self servingly left out:
i never, ever instructed you to open your ballast, you did that all on your own, any person of average intelligence knows better then to tinker with a sealed electronic component, opening a bad one i can somehow see but opening a working one is just plain brilliant.

second, switching ballast from side to side DOES not require you to open them, i believe i was very clear when i said switch, never once did i say open.
once you did that (open) ALL your warranties were voided, on the spot and forever, still i offered to replace them at $25, your choice then much like it is now was to go on an immature rant blaming everyone but yourself for your own doing.

third, the mysterious "bulb" issue only surfaced then, over a year later, never, ever did you utter a single word to that effect, but for as long as you got the discounts and freebees all was good, wasn't it?
since you called me out and your situation has nothing to do with umnitza i felt it was necessary to clear this up and bring out the truth and not the figments of your over active imagination.

its people like you who add absolutely nothing to a thread like this except for spreading self serving half truths and imaginary tales leading to the eventual and certain locking of threads such as this, ultimately depriving what may be a legitimate customer's issue from getting the stage it may deserves and possibly depriving him from achieving a fair and just resolution.
you had your stage, you posted your "story" in your own thread, this is only serves as testament to your spiteful and immature little self, i said it to you before and i'll repeat it again, grow up and move on, its not healthy to be bitter and a hater all the time.

the thread starter may have a legitimate gripe with umnitza, i don't know, im not familiar with the situation however i have learned that there is always a flip side to every coin and that the proverbial cheerleader and firing squads are always all too happy to render "judgment" knowing more often then not half or much less of the true/complete story.

From what I can tell and have read since my original post, there are plenty of gripes with Umnitza. I don't want this to be a general Umnitza bash with different stories. Agreements are ok or whatever but I would like to save this thread for my certain situation.

I have been 100% honest and factual in my OP. Someone that I've been dealing with from Umnitza is more then welcome to come into this thread and post their point of view. I understand their are 2 sides to every story and I'm sure Umnitza as well as any other company occasionally takes unfair criticism/blame; however, that is not the case here. I do not think anything they say will contradict my post in any way, shape or form. As a matter of fact, I have an email from them stating that they agree "to a certain extent" but then tried to switch the blame on me saying none of this would've happened if I would've tested prior to requesting the ballast. Obviously they do not understand the situation I was in and the fastest way to a fix was the method I took. Either way, that does not condone their actions...

Okay Ouri! If I could bring up my last thread about you looking for help the only thing you ever do is defend yourself when someone comes in... rather than actually helping the issue...

Do the OP a favor and just help him it's not like I'll be buying from you guys ever again so it's no big deal...

Immature? Yes I am very immature, every convo we have you talk as if you are a teenager cussing every sentence... Don't talk to me about professionalism, the funny thing is I had to go out of my way to get help from you and it was a waste of my efforts... Anyways have a nice day

I havent had issues with Umnitza. I order a set of p46's for my car last sunday and it came that following friday. Good quality, fast shipping IMO. I think I even f'd some stuff up and now i need a replacement ballast/ring for my passenger side angel eye, and they offered to send another one, no problem.

I have no issues with them, and they have been good to me.

Yeah I'm not too pleased right now either. I ordered some p39's over the phone " Oh yeah we got em', we'll ship em out first thing tommorow". I figured nice, should be here in 4 days on the 5th day what do you know they don't even have them because "their supplier shorted them 25 units"supposedly. That's not my problem, you have to keep up on every aspect of your business. So i'm shit out of luck with my car in the shop waiting for the headlights, to go with everything else I ordered ( which came in a timely manner). I was told they have 4 units and i'm the 5th in line so, they'd talk to the other buyers and see if they'd recieve their later, told me I'd get a response by 1pm today, and what do you know, no response. What the fuck?

What date did you call in? Do you remember?
I'm pretty sure we got your call on the 18th?
