Hey all,

I was wondering if anybody knows if these will fit and work properly (they're electrical and I'd like the original switches to operate the seats).

Both of my seats have a broken cable or something and won't hold a recline position. Do you think I'd be better of trying to fix these? Sounds like all of the motors still work.

Thanks,
Tim

They'll fit, but you won't be able to move them forward to get passengers in and out of the rear seats of your 635. I do believe, however, that you can add that contraption with some minor fabrication on the 528 seat backs. Unfortunately, beyond that, I can't help you, but I've heard that it can be done, I just don't know exactly how.

Try to fix yours. The uph seams on the e28 run vertically and yours run horizontally so the back seat will not match. And as mentioned the easy forward tilt for rear seat egress will be lost.

Ohhh...good point, forgot about the folding forward action that 2-door seats have that 4-door seats don't.

And I saw the different direction stitching today too...

I'm thinking I'll definitely give my seats a shot because losing the folding action would really suck.

Thanks guys.

i just put e28 sport seats in my 635, got them so cheap i had to do it, the big problem is u have memory on the drivers seat the power plug dosnt match, some people have got a harness from a e28 and spliced it in, i just used the pass plug to get my seat where i like it and bolted it in, as for the tilt the e28 seats have a lever on the bottom each side that u push in and they will tilt fwd, also if u power the pass seat fwd and then the back all the way fwd u can get in the back, but who sits there anyway, also u can modify the seat to use a lever on the seat side, some guys on roadfly have done that, as for the stitching, i really dont notice and dont care, the sport seat is so much better!

I know that the cables come out of the gear cases on the sides of the seats for the recline mechaniziums. The question is, how do you get the cables out of the motors? If you go in, don't forget to take pictures!
