What I'm Looking For: 1992-1995 325iS, 1996-1997 328i and 328iS
Which 'box: Manual
Where: Northern San Diego county
How much to spend: $cheapest to about $6500, cash in hand.
Exterior condition: Good to great. May compromise if rest of car is mint. Favorite colors: Black, white, silver, blue.
Interior condition: Good to great. Only the front seats are allowed to have signs of wear and even then no cracks and they have to be black so I can swap the driver's with a Vader I have lying around. A back seat that doesn't look like someone gave birth to several bloody puppies would be great.
Electrical condition: Good. I don't want to chase gremlins in my daily. I get enough of that with the stripped S13.
Transmission condition: Good, no crunchy synchros. Don't want to have to replace, as BMW transmissions cost about 5 times as much as Nissan transmissions.
Engine condition: Good. Service history a plus, replaced thermostat, thermostat housing, water pump, radiator, hoses, etc a definite plus.
Suspension condition: Good, no torn subframe mounts or sway mounts. I don't care about the RSMs as long as they haven't damaged the tower itself, as I have Rogue RSMs I will be installing after I get the car. Old dampers and springs don't really concern me because I am a mod nut and will probably have this thing on stands so quick it will make your head spin. Old bushings don't concern me either as I already have those as well.
Things I will pay more for: Eibach Sportline/H&R Sport springs, newer Bilstein dampers, decent wheels with good rubber (I'm talking either the sport 16x7s with RT615/RE01R/RS2 or 17x8s all around [at minimum, with decent offsets] with name-brand rubber that doesn't say Wanli or General on the sidewall. I'm extremely discerning about my wheels and tires and won't pay more for crap.)
