View Full Version : Anyone Interested in 24lb/hr Injectors? bimmer95 07-04-2001, 05:52 AM Would anyone be interesed in a GP on Bosch 24lb/hr fuel injectors for $200 a set (6)? 318 speed 07-10-2001, 05:50 PM would they fit a 318 i bimmer95 07-10-2001, 09:18 PM Originally posted by 318 speed would they fit a 318 i As far as I know BMW uses the same design and impedence on the 318 injectors as the M3, so they should fit. However you would need some way to adjust the HFM output voltage or a custom chip tuned for the larger size. Otherwise your engine would run too rich. Lee22 07-24-2001, 02:24 PM isn't the stock size for an E36 M3 17lbs? psk145 07-24-2001, 05:08 PM why would you want larger injectors unless you're running boost??? you're not introducing more air, so larger injectors wouldnt do much. psk145 07-24-2001, 05:10 PM Originally posted by Lee22 isn't the stock size for an E36 M3 17lbs? I think OBDII M3's come with 24 lb injectors. M3 GT Ben 07-25-2001, 08:45 AM Originally posted by psk145 I think OBDII M3's come with 24 lb injectors. nope. OBD2 M3s come with 21.5 lb. injectors. psk145 07-25-2001, 02:16 PM Originally posted by M3 GT Ben nope. I could be wrong though. I had all that stuff (except the HFM) on my car previously, and it didnt need new injectors UD///M 08-08-2001, 09:35 PM Originally posted by C///M3 Would I need larger injectors with this setup? 1.intake 2.chip 3.euro hfm 4.exhaust 5.underdrive pulleys anyone know? No you won't. DeezBMW 08-09-2001, 09:35 PM Nah, you only need injectors if you have boost, and most kits you get come with new injectors anyways. Stock injectors are perfect. BMLRacer 09-04-2001, 02:04 PM Guys, Injectors are not only for boosted cars. The primary reason for using larger injectors in a N/A car is that the larger injectors run cooler. Thus making the engine more efficient during sustained high RPM runs (ala, track days) Injectors alone will not produce more power. Brian SupaBimma 09-04-2001, 11:34 PM Thats not exactly true, The larger 21.5 lbs injectors DO make 10.8HP above 6,000rpm on 95 M3's but thats b/c the 17lbs injectors maxed out at that point (read august issue of European car, the dynoes are in there if you dont believe me). The only thing about 21.5 injectors is they max out at about 300, 17lb max = 270, 24 max = 330. So if your gonna get injectors you might as well get the 24lbs plus they are the cheapest of all three. thats just my 2 cents bimmer95 09-05-2001, 12:13 AM Originally posted by SupaBimma Thats not exactly true, The larger 21.5 lbs injectors DO make 10.8HP above 6,000rpm on 95 M3's Technically they don't "make" the extra power, but they "allow" the extra power ;) So now does anyone want to get them? I know someone who should be able to get very good prices on the AA software to go with injectors.
