WOW!, not the best first experience with BMW service
I took my E36 1995 318i 85k miles to Bill Jacobs BMW in Naperville for an oil change. After getting into their computer I left, and was called when it was “ready”. Show up pay, and get in the car and start it. My service lights now show yellow and red and say oil change (before I took it in it just hit yellow and said oil change). Went inside, after 15 min I was told it might need and inspection II now. but after looking at the history no, just needed to reset the lights I guess they didn’t do this before!! :(. So some guy comes out resets me and walks away. Start the car, it starts and dies. I try again, and it idles like shit had to keep it around 1500 RPM so it wouldn’t die. I go back in and tell them, a service person looks at it and says yes it won’t idle right. So after 20-30 min I get a loaner car, and am told I can get it the next day. They call at 3:30 the next day, and now the car WONT START!!
I am sorry if anyone is a fan of Bill Jacobs but I wouldn’t use them EVER!! Please someone tell me that not all BMW dealers are like this.
Any one have an idea as to what the issue could be?
