Hope this is not too off topic for you guys but...
I'm looking for work. :az:

So I’m just seeing if anyone here can :help. Anyway I am willing to do all sorts of stuff.
I have exp and can do physical labor like warehouse jobs, residential construction, network administration, phone support and software development. I am currently rebuilding the engine in my truck and I also do all of the work on the Bimmer myself so I would love do something in automotive.

I currently do custom software through a small company in Denver. I have the most exp with a programming language called Eiffel but some of my projects are in VB or FoxPro. I know and can develop C++ and Java although I don't have tons exp with Java. I do have loads of Database design and object oriented design experience.

At my current job I only get paid for work that I bill. Lately that has been pretty minimal. Not even enough to pay my rent. Also my wife is about a day away from having our baby. I worked at HP for 8 years and got laid off in '98 and have been looking for a stable job ever since.

So far sending out the resume has seemed useless, as software jobs are somewhat scarce.

I'm flexible on pay, I just need more than what I’ve been getting the last several weeks, which probably averaging about $100/week!!:(

Or if anyone has leads on a business that wants to hire my company to write a business app for them then there are at least a half dozen other programmers twiddling thumbs at my office. The software industry just sucks!!

Any help is appreciated and if someone helps me get a job I’ll owe you big time. Like Dinner at the Brown Palace or track time at Second Creek Raceway or something.
Thanks,
Eric

Man that just sucks... I'm sure my company isn't hiring, but I can ask around at some of my customers (Unaxis, Quantum, Maxtor, Seagate, etc..). Probably wont have much luck, but it can't hurt to ask... If you want you can send me your resume, and I could try floating it around for you... cravnpup@excite.com
