finally got around to installing the 3.46 diff i got from Cameron. can't tell if it is any better yet but it is in. what a PITA though i forgot how much of a pain it is. and it would not have been so bad if i didn't strip one of those stupid reverse torx bolts.

Get thee to a drag strip. With your setup that LSD will get you out of the hole nicely! :buttrock

i hope so! i will very soon. the diff has been sitting for a while with no fluid so i want to put a few miles on it before abusing it.

not fully seated the socket and a little off center. splines go bye bye...Yeah, I know how that can go. I recommend replacing the diff bolts after removing them your first time around, it makes things easier in the future ;) But, bolt removal like those Torx is really easy, you just weld a nut to it and wrench it out :) To prevent not having the socket fully seated, I always tap the socket with my hammer lightly.

Nice work tho, glad you were able to get it done with out too much pain :) I look forward to the new strip times :)

well i haven't pushed the car like i stated earlier because i want fluid to get into all the crevises first. and yes i went from a 3.38 to now the 3.46 with a 40% lock up.

ohhh and on a side note i wanted to mention. you all know the abuse my car has seen at the drag strip with slicks and high rpm launch. when removing the front diff bolt it was straight and true thanks to the AA DSB. i was expecting to see it a little deformed but it was not at all. so i am very happy to report the AA DSB is working as advertised.
