trikE28 04-19-2007, 01:08 AM Damn that car is clean, GL with the sale.
stevesbmw 04-19-2007, 02:28 AM Good looking car man! You should have no problem selling her.
b00zehounder 04-19-2007, 11:22 AM definitely keep the wheels, son. put those on the M when you get it.
todor 04-22-2007, 04:26 AM haha i randomly saw your car on craigslist and i thought to myself "nice e36"... didn't know it was yours. but yeah, nice car (i saw it in person once - remember? when we were gonna get the fenders rolled but it didn't happen)

well thanks, yeah i remember that fender rolling party that didn't work out. Well i haven't really had many bites on the car so if i don't get much interest i'll be keepin it. I just thought hey if i can get a good price then why not go for an M.
mitchelrl 04-22-2007, 11:57 PM Ben, if I were you, I'd return it to stock, and list it for 6,500, put amber corners and stock suspension back on and stock wheels.
It will sell, people tend to stay away from modded rigs. Try listing it on bmw cca forums.

+1
todor 04-23-2007, 12:58 AM there are different types of buyers out there. if it's nicely modded, it will sell for a higher price than its stock counterpart. the definition of "nicely" is very subjective, but there is probably somebody out there whose definition matches yours... so if you're not in a hurry, just keep it up on craigslist and on the forums (definitely bmwcca) and something might come up.
selling my 328 and buying an m3 was one of the better decisions i've made in my car history so far. but i had a low-mileage (76k) slightly modified 328is in perfect condition, so i sold it for a lot of money and got a higher-mileage m3 for about the same amount. since your 328 is on the higher end of the mileage spectrum, you won't be able to get an m3 straight up, but if you plan on modding the 328 even more, the money is better spent towards an m3. the 328 needs a lot of money put into it to reach m3 levels of power, handling & durability (a lot of the suspension components on the m3 are reinforced whereas those of the 3-series are not). so money-wise if you need to decide between spending 3k on upgrades for the 328 vs. spending 3k to upgrade to an m3, definitely choose the latter. i know 3k sounds like a lot of money but if you keep track of every single expense/upgrade, you'll notice you'll go through 3k in no time.
just my 2 cents ;)
turbodefrost 04-23-2007, 01:20 AM thanks for the input guys i'll definitely take all that into consideration. I'm very back and forth about selling it or not, so if I really decide to go for it, i'll revert it completely back to stock and sell for cheaper. thanks again
HateHonda 04-25-2007, 07:24 PM I may be interested in purchasing. Id need to sell my car first tho.

turbodefrost 04-30-2007, 02:43 AM Still for sale?

turbodefrost 04-30-2007, 02:45 AM I need to sell my car pronto. What is the asking price? What parts will not be on the car if purchased?
Asking price is on the ad $8500, which is negotiable. We can also negotiate what parts will be sold with the car and what parts will be taken off.
I will for sure be taking off the exhaust, x-brace, UUC shift nob, and the wheels we can talk about.
HateHonda 04-30-2007, 02:56 AM Why are you taking the exhaust off? and the ad is expired.
turbodefrost 04-30-2007, 03:15 AM oh sorry, I'll be transferring the exhaust to my next purchase :devillook
turbodefrost 04-30-2007, 06:35 PM here's the new for sale thread in the FS section:
