I'm looking for a stock clutch fan including the clutch. I will pay $20 cash money for an e30 one with a decent clutch.

Edit: e36 fan would be fine also, I think.

$20 and it's yours... (part of the sticker is still on one of the blades). This came off my car when I went electric only over the off season.

Any reason you are going with a mechanical fan and clutch? Having overheating issues? Did you figure out the ICV/TPS bit yet?

I overheated on the rollers when I went to get the emissions done. Replacing the TB solved pretty much all my running issues. :redspot

It runs hot on the highway, probably because it turns 5K at 80. No probems most of the time though. I'd like to have the clutch fan for autoxes too.

You put any water wetter in, and do you even have an aux fan?

Straight water and no aux fan.

Straight water and no aux fan.

The overheating makes sense then. :stickoutt

It would be best to drop that fan in. Get the Vorshlag engine mounts in yet? Has MR. ATF left the building yet?

I did a test fit on the mounts, I'll be modifying them a bit to make them work. Gotta see when I can find some time to hit the machine shop this week.

The smoke stopped after one long highway trip. :buttrock

Matt,

If the fan clutch isn't going to work for you, I'll refund it and take it back. Was there a clearance issue???

Yep, it was just a little too long, the blades hit the reinforcement on top of the radiator. I am pretty sure a 9 blade should fit. I need to see if I can find one around. There's no need for a refund... its not your fault I can't fit a perfectly reasonable fan on my frankenbimmer. And there's no telling when it might come in handy.

How about grinding down the blades a little?

BTW, I used a 9-blade and we didn't need to trim it any.

PS- How have you been?

Yep, I figured the 9 would be the ticket. McCoy suggested that it would be "self-clearancing" but I didn't want to take the chance that it clearances the radiator instead of the fan. Also, it's going to pull itself forward when it gets pumping, so it'll need a LOT of stuff cut off.

I am good. School is almost over for the year. The car is running. It's strangely slow though. It's not running right yet. :shifty I am getting a new chip soon. :devillook I did get a new diff installed: 3.25 LSD. Very nice. That old open diff was toast.
