Am looking at a 2007 X5 4.8i, but was wondering if anyone had any info on when the 2008s would be released and what changes might there be, if any.

Regardless of which year I order, it WILL be ordered and I will take factory delivery in SC.

Appreciate any help that is out there.

Since they just made the 2007 new, I doubt there will be anything new for 2008.

Thanks, well I know they are planning to add the power lift gate in the spring of '07 (when, I don't know), so was just wondering if anything else was planned that might appeal to me like more cargo volume :)

If you get the third row seating in the 2007 you'll gain 7.4 inches in length and 2.3 inches in width as long as you don't have those seats stood up.

the x5 isn't longer only if you get 3rd row seats. it is longer and wider regardless of options... that extra length and width is what allowed them to add 3rd row seating.

as for the power tailgate... that will become available around sept. which is right around when the 08's will start up. either way, 4.8's right now are sold out across the board and tend to be few and far between. if you want to order for sept. you might want to start thinking about putting in a deposit.
