Located in Cumming, GA off of Buford Dam Road

I don't know anything about this car. I was driving down the road and saw that it was in pretty good condition and decided to stop and take pictures in case someone was interested.

The body looked great, I only saw a small ding in the passenger rear door and a crack in the windshield. The interior looked perfect.

I don't know what these cars are worth, but the asking price seemed high to me?

Sorry for the crappy pics

Bart

That is high but might be worth it to someone...if it has the Nikasil block in it then it definitely isn't worth that much.

For comparison, I was looking at one for my dad in Chattanooga that was similar but with just over 100K miles, but it had the bad block and was showing the symptoms. The owners weren't even aware of how significant the issue is and it was still priced at only $3K.

Hell, you could get an e30 for that amount.

Nice. Price is way to high for the mileage and condition of the car. I know exactly where that is though. I may take a look at it tomorrow if I have spare time (highly unlikely though because of boating season). I like the red though, not too many of those around.

price is crazy for an auto. looks to be in good shape though. and nikasill isnt a big deal...if it's got 155k its swapped or its alright

I read that (if they're not gone yet then they're not gonna go) about engines around 100K too, but that engine (the one in Chattanooga) was on its way out and it was definitely that issue.

+1.
Nikasil is actually very good stuff. It was only an issue in select areas where the sulfur content of the fuel was extremely high. This was not an issue in europe and not an issue in most places in the US, and is now not a problem in the US anymore. If its still running well, it shouldn't matter what block is in it.

If anyone is interested in one of these in boston green with a 5 speed, I'm selling one for a friend. Its in the suwanee area currently.

Are you in the boating business or just taking advantage of the weather?

no way, turn around and leave. I got mine with 94k miles, new tranny with 10k miles, one owner, interior in perfect condition for $6,300. That one should barely push $5,500.

Keep looking, if you want a v8 e34, either look for a good deal like mine, or buy a descent 540i for 7k with the intentions of dropping 2k into it...

The company I work for does all the sound systems for 95% of the boat dealers around Lake Lanier (and most of N. GA). We also have a large customer base also. www.avcmarine.com if you get the time.

Wow, pretty nice. I am sure some people have some serious money wrapped up in those installs!
