View Full Version : falken tires
zarbat007 04-17-2007, 05:24 PM i am interested in purchasing these tires (http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AB2&url=index.jsp), are they any good? just wanna make sure they are not the tires (http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AB2&url=index.jsp) which didnt pass michelin (http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AB2&url=/tires/michelin/michelin.jsp) tests with another name, thanks.(some crappy brands like motomaster are actually tires (http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AB2&url=index.jsp) that did not pass michelin (http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AB2&url=/tires/michelin/michelin.jsp)/goodyear quality test and they are sold with a different name)

zarbat007 04-17-2007, 07:11 PM i am talking about falken here...
Danny318 04-17-2007, 07:20 PM I have falken azenis 615's . they are great, really grippy. I'd recommend them if you dont need to use them in the winter/dont need them to last a really really long time.
Danny318 04-17-2007, 07:20 PM esp if you autox or track your car

95RedBMWe36M50 04-17-2007, 08:39 PM Looooooooooooove Falkens. Have had nothing else on my e36 since I purchased it new in '95. Ran Z rated for years, went down to H rated, now back to Z's. Like a good woman, they like to be driven hard.

fantastic, finally a decent comment :D
how they handle in snow? rain? do they have more noise compared to others?
maxcr3 04-18-2007, 06:06 PM I have Falkens on my 94 325i. They handle great.
Danny318 04-18-2007, 06:33 PM My older worn out azenis were loud as hell. The new ones I have are not loud at all. They handle amazing, and very good in the rain. probably terrible in the snow since they are so smooth.
Bring The Noise 04-18-2007, 06:53 PM I have Falken Ziexs they are great
riffman12 04-18-2007, 08:11 PM +1 for the falkens. Love em to bits. They even seem to find grip on California freeways with 1-2 inches of water sitting on them :buttrock
koconnell 04-18-2007, 08:31 PM falken azenis are awesome! you wont be dissapointed. they are on two of our cars, and i will be putting them on mine in the near future.
zarbat007 04-18-2007, 09:04 PM cool. i'll order them tomorrow. cant wait to put them in my car:buttrock
carjoe 04-18-2007, 11:34 PM Hey, I know you're set on buying tires, found this on usedottawa:

If it helps, I've heard nothing but great things about Falken. I have a buddy who was tracking his car with a set of Ziex 512's and loved them.
My next set will probably be Toyo or Continental.

thanks man, but is not wide like i want it to be and also its lower than stock.
i went to No limits auto parts and falken ziex 512 for $76 each. very good deal and 2 day delivery. i called other places and they were around $95-$100 for the same tire. Mike's a great guy. i am going there tomorrow.

carjoe 04-19-2007, 09:53 AM I've bought lots from Mike. The only thing i don't like is that you have to get them mounted somewhere else.
He used to be off Cyrville which was great for me being in the east end...not so great anymore.
What size are you going with?
