I've finally got my Dinan badge. Where to put it? Do I take the 540 off and put the badge in its place or do I put the Dinan-5 badge on the other side of the trunk lid?

I've only seen them in the same location as the 540 badge but that doesn't mean that you can't put it on the other side if you prefer.

I think added badges are tacky.

Why advertise? Stick it on a magnet and put it on the fridge door.

BTW if it was a Hartge or Alpina it would a bit different.

You are talking about Dinan which most people here could care less. Most of their parts are pre-vanos e39 parts that were added the Dinan name then increased in price.

People consider them a rip-off

I did put the Dinan Chip and CAI in my car because when it was still under warranty.

i have dinan junk on my car and have mixed opinions:

50% - No one cares and all it means is you spent xxx amount of money
50% - It's nice to add to your car so people know you are an enthusiast (who has spent xxx amount of money) and your car might be faster

in the glove box.

Put it on my toolbox. I'll trade you for the metal bezel thing removed from the top of my center console storage bin.

Seriously though, most who display it, remove the 5xxi designation and replace with Dinan 5. Locate in the same place.

I have my emblem replace the stock one on the rear trunk lid.
