My stock radio has zero reception and it's driving me nuts! I need to get it taken care of in the next few days because I have a road trip this sunday.
I need a place on the south side, riverdale, newnan, etc. It sounds like anybody who know bmw's can probably help me out. I think the antenna amp is out or someting to do with the antenna. I also want to look into a Sirius unit to work alongisde the stock system.
Thanks.

Have you tried pulling the stereo out of the dash and unplug/re-pluging everything? The antenna lead might be crusty. A little shot of electronic cleaner could be your ticket.

I replaced mine with a Nakamichi unit from BSW. Stock unit sucks.

I pulled the headunit and plugged everything back in. I think the antenna is fuxored at the antenna location.

You can try Jeff (AudioDesignsATL, his Bf.c s/n), he's on the south side, 770-389-5595. Tell him Sebastian ref.'d you. :)

This would be closer to you.
I apologize for the miscommunication today. I am still willing to help with the problem but unfortunately getting how late it was I needed to go grab some lunch and we unfortunately missed each other.
Coby was on the right track, I am willing to bet your antenna connections are not up to par.

Jeff at Audio Designs fixed me right up. Turns out a pin in the radio is bent or defective. Radio works but goes out intermittently...I'll have to pick up a new head unit.
