Does anyone have experience with permanently installed radar/laser detectors like the Escort SR7? They're costly, but I'm worried about my license once I take delivery.

I have a hard-wired Beltronics RX65 -- no slouch. The next step up is unavailable for less than 450, I got mine for about 230 and I am VERY happy. The wiring can become very expensive, but if ultimate stealthiness is your goal, you might want to think about a remote unit. The Beltroncs PRO Driver is a very good unit, but I never saw anything that made me think it was worth the extra cost.
