I finally got around to getting tires for the staggered 15"s that I had refinished. I wanted 195/50s in front and 20/50s in the rear. I gave up on Falken making the Azenis in 195/15 for the front.

After some serious intraweb research I ordered the Hankook Ventus Rs2 z212 (who makes up these names?) and wanted to give my report after 50 street miles and 6 AX runs. These things are EFFEN FABULOUS!!!!!!!!

I had AX'd the last two seasons on Falken Ziexs in 195/60/14 and there is no comparision. I could put the Baur anywhere I wanted. We had mixed weather, both wet and dry, and the Ventus where EFFEN FABULOUS in both conditions.

Take a serious look at the Hankooks.

Yeah, I came across these while searching for tires. Glad to have some user feedback on them, to help with my decision

I had the ventus k104. They're complete garbage. Wanna see what they're doing right now with over 50% tread?

You need to do some research on the new Ventus. Grassroots Motorsports and numerous publications have rated them as near equals to the Azenis.

Furthermore we are discussing two different Hankooks but thanks for the input.

The title says Ventus. The tires I posted about are Ventus. They're a garbage tire and I wanted to get that point across, but thanks for the scolding.

I have the RS2's on my E30 and they are a great tire in the dry but very unpredictable in the wet. I would buy these tires again to keep on a second set of wheels for dry and track use but will probably go back to the GoodYear GS-D3's for everyday use. I have yet to use a tire that has better wet traction than the GS-D3. I did an auto-x in a down pour with about 1/2" standing water on the track and the car drove like it was dry out with the GS-D3's.
