Drove a 350Z roaster last week. It was an absolute rocket. Somehow I like the "feel" (and looks) of the Z4 better. But boy did it fly.......

I love the sound of the Z4 with the top open. The 350Z sounds awful now, its a tad to deep. The G35 sounds better becuase the one of the intake tubes is smaller than the Z.

I couldn't even test drive it. I sat in it, and the guy was looking for the key, but I told him to not even bother. The interior ergonomics were way too strange, I couldn't stand them. I ended up buying my Z4 a day later.

I would be in love, again.

I had the total opposite experience. Although, I drove an '05 350Z coupe ... but I wasn't impressed at all. Visibility was crap and I really expected it to perform a heck of a lot better. Driving feel wasn't there either for me ... maybe the roadster is a lot different.

Never driven a Z4, but just sitting in one has a better feel to me than driving the 350z all together.

Just my opinion.

Friend of mine has one, and we usually take it out every weekend when going out. I've never driven it, but you can tell from being a passenger that it underperforms and is just very "pillowy" when it comes to feeling the road. Visibility is definitely horrible as well, and I can't stand the interior.

When I got in it for the first time, I was expecting quite a bit and was severely let done. Very unimpressive car in my opinion.

Oh I still bought the Z4 from him. I actually bought my car from him on his last day, he was an older gentleman and was retiring.

So I'd say the exact opposite of poor guy. I think I made his day.

I was about to buy a Z4 si when I went to the Porsche dealer JUST TO TAKE A PEEK and found my beautiful Boxster :)

They are good cars and fun to drive but not so performance oriented :D

Boxters are very very nice but you see them everywhere. Thats why I went with the Z4. The 350Z is a tin can.

I see both everywhere.

But that is not my deciding factor in purchasing a car. Otherwise I would buy the ugliest, crappiest car that no one would ever consider purchasing so that I'd have the only one on the road.

The 350 is much more comfortable. After a long ride in the Z4 you will need some orthopedic help.

I've driven a z4 for a week.

I've driven a 350z much more (sis has one).

from both, i like the small feel of the z4. the particular one i drove was a first model way back when they were introduced so it felt underpowered. i actually don't like the interiors of both. i noticed all newer bmw's look this way, sorry i just dont' like it. but the same can be said for the 350z, i don't like feeling like i'm sitting in a tub. i also like the exhaust of the 350z better.

between the two, i think i would take a 350z.

They're different kinds of cars, really.

I'd take the 350z, now that they have the bit more power they needed.

Did anybody see the 5-Gear review of both the z4 and the 350z roadsters? The Z won 2 out of 3 of their competitions but the Z4 was a little bit more stable around the road course. It was a pretty good episode. Oh and they said that the Z got up to something like 72 in 2nd gear? That is wild.
