Yeah, I guess. I moved to Houston right after all that, so it's the only way that I've seen the area.

haha and i did the opposite....moved from dallas to houston.

the job market is so much better in houston though!

Dallas is dirt cheap to live in as compared to other places...

How true is that. I almost put in my resume WILL NOT WORK IN HOUSTON. I got 10+ calls for houston the day after I posted my resume, and it took forever to find somethind in Dallas. Plus the pay is better in Houston, easily 30% higher in Houston. Atleast for the industry that I'm in.

Being from Houston I can say that Dallas is the place to be in TX. Austin hill country is nicer but wayyyyy over populated.

Fort Worth is the place to be!! (but don't tell anyone)

Story on the news last night - there are plans to build a Snow Ski Resort out near Alliance - yes you read that right, a Snow Ski Resort! Gonna build mountains and have some kind of artificial snow so you can ski all year. They're talking HUGE, like a Disney park.
