View Full Version : Is there a wait when ordering a tt kit?
Bromaguire 04-08-2007, 02:20 PM Do you still have to wait a little once you order the kit from them? I am planning on buying their kit this week or next week and just wanted to know if there was still some type of backorder wait for the kit? If it makes a difference I am going to get the Stg. 2 kit.
///MPwr 04-08-2007, 02:34 PM The best person to ask would be NickG of TT. Hes a supporting vendor on the boards now and is the best person to answer that question. I'm envious that you're going S2, enjoy!

I have tried calling him a couple times this week and no one answers. I had my mechanic from KMS call him to and he still hasn't talked to him yet either.
BMW///M3sdn 04-08-2007, 03:14 PM its about a 3-4week wait when i got mine in november. He's a real busy guy so it can be tricky occasionally to get ahold of him but whenever it's really important he always seems to be there.
wushucivic 04-08-2007, 03:58 PM you can also try emailing him too. did you leave a message when you called? Nick is usually pretty good at getting back to people :)
Nick is the one you want to talk to, leave a message he will return it. I had about a 4-5 week wait on mine which I ordered in September of 06.
MRMARSH 04-08-2007, 04:34 PM it depends when u order it the last time I spoke to him.

Thanks guys. I figured there would still be a wait for his stuff. My mechanic left a message with earlier this week. I will call him this week and leave a message for him though.
acastillo 04-08-2007, 05:30 PM I spoke with him in February, and he estimated his next batch won't come till around May/June. There is a waiting list.

Any idea how many people are on that waiting list?

No sir. He just told me to email him my information and request to be added to it.
xjeeper 04-08-2007, 07:37 PM I think he is just a regular board member now... I may be wrong though.
Are there that many people buying these kits that there is a wait for them? Wow I didnt know there was that big of a market for e36FI.

And that was back in feb.? I hope this list isnt that long. I don't think I woud wait much more than a month or so for his kit.

It's probably because now more of the average joe money maker has FINALLY paid off their baby and can afford to buy the goods. Like me, YES!!!!:redspot

I felt the same, but it's still cold outside anyways, and it just gives me more time to save and make sure I'm doing the right thing with a 10yr old car.
If you chose not to wait longer than a month, what other choices are there? TRM's kit is not OBDII, TS kits are not much less expensive and won't provide the same level of output. AA's kit appears to be much more expensive. :dunno
BMW///M3sdn 04-08-2007, 10:37 PM all i can say is his kit is worth that wait. It's a complete kit every little thing that you need down to the last bolt and nut, even a set of tie rod arms because SOME not all cars may have clearance issues if worn out and he includes them just in case.

Theres a few kits that are being developed by other people. Theres a place in columbus,oh. that just announced they are making an e36 kit that should be ready soon. A stand alone unit is a good option for the kits that are for only odb-1 and when using the stand alone I will be able to upgrade much easier. I am not going to make any decisions though until I talk to Nick first.
