Time to put my car up for sale.

It's a 97 M3, with just a tad over 75K on it. Car is white with gray interior. All service records since brand new. Here is the short history of the car:

Used car dealership owner bought new, but after 3 month didn't like the ride, he sold it to an engineer who then had it for 8 years until I bought it from him. This is a FL car all it's life, until I got relocated up to NJ last year with my company. M3 has only seen one winter which was this last one, I also have a second car, so M3 only saw one day of snow action (was a nice day in the morning and took it to work and it snowed mid day). I just picked the car up from Princeton BMW after an oil change yesterday - car is ready to go.

I can try to find the carfax from 18 month ago when I bought the car - carfax is clean, car has never seen an accident. Inspec II was completed in 2005. Car is basically stock, except for BBS wheels, BMW motorsport X brace, and Z3 shifter (shortens the throw a little). Car has never been tracked (believe me I wanted to, just couldn't make the time).


Car is in Princeton until 5/26 then it is being shipped to Raleigh, NC.

Reason for selling: I'm starting to do more driving and getting something with 4 doors and more room.

Price reduced to $14,000. I'm open to reasonable offers, but please don't offer me 12K for it, this car is in excellent shape and very low miles.
Not looking for trades at this time - unless it's a full blown track car.

Known issues - passenger side mid range is starting to go. Also, piece under the glovebox sags a little (known issue for these cars).

Wheels are same staggered size is stock, one rear is Michelin and one is Continental, both fronts are Michelins as well. I'd say about 50% life left. I also have a CD Changer that I bought for it, but have not installed. Car has all the books and records, 2 sets of keys, and all the tools in the tool kit. Some small scratches and imperfections as you'd expect on a 10 year old car.

Also. I do thank people for the offers I've gotten so far, but please don't send me offers of 10, 11, 12K - I'm in no rush to sell this car. I've owned it for a while and it's not even my daily driver. I'll sell it to the right person or trade it for the right car, otherwise I have no problems keeping it. Guy that came to do a shipping estimate said it's one the best looking 10 year old cars he's ever shipped - and I intend to keep it that way.

I wouldn't go that far. Companies want you to ship enclosed because they make more money. I had no problem finding companies willing to ship a 2003 530i from Detroit to Charlotte for $600. I got lucky and the only truck that was readily available was an enclosed transport, so I got a free upgrade. I'd say look for anywhere between $550 and $750. Be wary if the price gets too low, because some companies will broker your shipment to numerous trucks with numerous drivers, dropping trailers off and picking them up along the way.
