A photographer will be there to take pictures of cars, people, pets…and the event. For a small donation, people could have a professional picture of their car and/or family. We will setup an area that has a nice background for some car shots.
There will be some high-end show cars there on display.
FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION
http://www.fisherhouse.org/aboutUs/aboutUs.shtml
http://www.custom-performance.net/pictures/FH.jpg
Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House™ Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time - during the hospitalization resulting from injuries sustained during combat.
All donations are tax deductible. If you provide your name and address, Fisher House will send out official receipts. Donations can also be made directly to the Fisher House Foundation.
GET THE WORD OUT

jrotty 04-05-2007, 02:54 PM Well not to bust this meets bubble but there is the rather large University of Maryland meet that day. :(
This started as just a local meet of M3s - then we thought it would be good to raise a few $$ for a local charity...then we found the Fisher House Foundation. Then it took off like wild fire. We considered the the UMD meet (I'm and alumni there) ....talked it over with a many local guys...and decided to go fot it. The next available day would have been mid May - and then there are other events that conflict.
So far, we have the following items for raffle:
(2) Oil Changes from Martin Motorsports in Alexandria VA.
(1) Rasp Terminator from Custom Performance Innovations.
(2) Hi-Flo Panel Filters from East Coast Induction Systems.
(1) $50.00 Gift Certificate from Borla
(1) Injen Powerflow Kit for 2004-2005 Nissan Armada from Keystone Automotive
Companies that have agreed to donate parts for the raffle include:
Racing Dynamics
Turner Motorsports
EisenHaus
I am waiting on responses from:
Magnaflow
K&N
AFE
UUC
Premier Performance
Rotora
Vorsteiner
wushucivic 04-05-2007, 05:01 PM I don't know if i'm going to be in town that day but if I am i'll stop by.

budman 04-12-2007, 08:13 PM good stuff.. hope to see you there
M-technik-3 04-13-2007, 07:59 AM Have any flyers printed or a full size of this? Maybe distrubute at the Auto Skills shop at say Fort Belvoir, Quantico MCAS, Fort Meyer, Andrews and Bolling AFB's?
I would suggest contacting public affairs and asking them if they would put them in their paper or post on their community bulletin boad's.
Worth a shot since us Military guys know that the Fisher House is a good deal.
Also the NCC president is the Coast Guard commander in Alexandria.
///2K 04-13-2007, 09:49 AM I'll be there. :wave:

jrotty 04-21-2007, 07:16 AM Why just for an e46? What makes them so different?
This meet started as a Spring meet for a bunch of guys from the M3Fourms - which is mostly E46 M3s, then once it turned into a charity event for wounded veterans, it took off like wild fire. So, we opened it up to all Euro cars, all years, all makes, etc. (really, because of what we are trying to do, anybody can bring anything). We don't want to exclude anyone.
Smactuna 04-21-2007, 10:44 AM i'll most likely show up with some people

AND NOW...
(2) Cases (that's right! 2 cases - 24 quarts) of Motul engine oil (viscosity 0W40) from Road Race Technolgies in Dulles VA (thanks Matt!). Depending on the winner, Matt is willing to match the vehicle specified viscosity.
budman 04-22-2007, 08:30 AM Why just for an e46? What makes them so different?
If you are reffering to the fender rolling, I am sure Mark (Liptuck) can work with you. I know most of his experinces are witht he E46, but he could probably venture out.
m20b27es 04-22-2007, 11:22 AM Yeah I was, thank you. I know a guy who will let me borrow a fender roller, but I was just curious as to why it was just offered for e46's. Thanks though.
spez7 04-22-2007, 12:48 PM hmmmmmmm This sounds interesting. Depending on my plans I might come I might not.
Any Girls?! :-D

:confused :rolleyes
:)
mjOlson 04-22-2007, 11:59 PM Jack, the MOTUL is a multi-brand grade and the viscosity is ok for year round which is good as it extends oil change intervals to 10K miles for NA engines and 8K for turbo. The E-Tech standard meets the highest rating (VW Turbo) as well as Porsche, MB and BMW long life. No bardering for the wnner; whatever they drive (outsde a diesel), they are good to go!
We are really excited to be a part of what you have put together and feel this is the least we can do considering your efforts and Gary/Racing Dynamics' offering their facilities. Our two buddies managed to run into each other in some out of the way truck stop and posted some pics in our "RRT in Iraq" forum section on our website. Kinda of a neat story for a life style that is likely lonely at times for those over there.

That's right - almost directly across the street.
utopia13 04-23-2007, 09:49 AM sweet ;)
M-technik-3 04-23-2007, 10:15 AM Not to infringe on this but NCC should try and use this lot for some auto Xing since it is a perfect location and on Sunday's it's a quiet area.
The only issue is the residential area across the street. But hey build your house in a Business zoned area shame on you.
utopia13 04-24-2007, 10:48 AM Hung a bunch of posters all over work...lots of folks interested!
Still need some bottled water? (mentioned in the Hard Times Cafe donation)
It's fun to help! ;)
