so I was poking around on ebay on the off chance someone has part of an OBD-I E36 engine wiring harness. search keywords were "bmw" and "harness". I came across a harness bar link in said search, and its for the E36. Curiosity got the best of me and I clicked on it... and what did I see?

That's actually the correct way to mount them. Much like the factory rear control arms, harnesses are supposed to yield in the event of a crash. :devillook
