that blue on blue is the flags that I make. I don't have a blue that looks good on estoril. I would go with etched glass.

That is what I was originally thinking about doing, but I want something a little different. I see black all the time. My car is going to get a repaint soon as well, so it's either going to be done in maritius blue or redone in beige metallic again (saves some work). I just wanted to see how other colors would look against the beige metallic though. What's the etched glass look like? I assume it's a sort of "frost" look, which I think might look good too, almost "ghosted" against this paint.

Yes.

Really though, all of the colors I use are the standard, straight up, colors.

So when I say blue is blue, I really mean it, and when I say red is red, that's just how it is. They aren't any kind of special shade, since I like to keep it simple, and if I were to stock all of the various shades, there'd just be too many and probably will never be used.

ya, I sold that sometime ago, bought this one, boosted...blew the motor, through a s52 in it along with some other boltons.

Black, or maybe the charcoal metallic. If you're keeping the clears or going with black housings, go black, if you go "smoked" lenses I think the charcoal metallic would look sweet.

I would not suggest any of those colors for your avus at all. I say either etched glass or black or just don't do it.

Don is just trying to get rid of his stock of black, that's why he pushes it so hard. ;)

Seriously though, I think he's right on the etched glass looking good too. I still think the other colors would look good, but thinking back the white would be too extreme of a contrast. I always forget which blues are which with bmw, since there are quite a few. After looking I see Avus is dark, so the blue material wouldn't look right, white would be too extreme, silver I still think would look alright, but might be too strong as well. It's too bad nobody is doing some PShop work and showing basically what these might look like. Get enough different color combos done and they'd be good "examples" for selling more flags.

depends on the lighting I guess, most people dont notice them untill they get close to the car...or I point it out.
