I have never taken a car to a track but I have watched enough races to know that the guy in the Porsche did not follow a very smart line through that corner and the guy in the S2K did... making (I would think) the guy in the Porsche at fault for the wreck. Seems like the Porsche was a little reckless considering the cars that passed afterwards looked like normal cars and not dedicated track cars.

I agree with Joelude on this one. Looks like the S2k took a smart line here.

That was boring, I expected a huge crash with fire and explosions.

porsche way to fast in the corner, way early on the apex, what a tard.
Good driving from the s2000 though.

the driver in the S2K should have given the porsche more room IMO. He was obviously not driving smartly. Dumb on both of their parts.

That crash was bound to happen after i saw them both enter the corner. The S2K was too inside and the porsche shouldnt have passed there although he was on the right line. Because he passed there he put the S2K way too inside and because of that their exits from the corner intersected causing the wreck.

Hmmm.I think the Porsche driver was definitely at fault, but it wasn't his line that was wrong, it was his throttle and braking. You can see a quick brake deep in the curve and transfer of weight off the rear of the Porsche. If you have ever driven a 911 through some fast curves, you will know that you get all your braking done prior to the curve and seat the rear with the throttle throught the curve. Letting up on the throttle mid curve will hand you your ass end in a heartbeat. It looks like that may be the case here.

....i'm going to disagree and agree. the lines that they take into the corner are not so relevant in this case...although, the porsche does run wide, and gets 2 wheels off the track (it seems that you guys missed that).....so, when the porsche mashes the accelerator, the rear end breaks lose and comes around on him, causing him to veer into the S2K (look at the angle of impact of the porsche's front fender when it hits the S2K)

....the S2K had the right idea by taking the turn extremely tight, but still made the mistake of trying to repass someone who wasn't driving very well.

+1 to both posts. The Porsche went off the track, got sideways and veered into the Honda. The driver in the Honda should have given the guy some room to start with, but who would expect someone to go off the track then (intentionally or not) swerve back onto and across the track.:dunno

The s2k driver was pissed - i think he knew his mistake, "butana"(sp) i'm pretty sure in italian means "whore", the porche left the track and spun out trying to accel back on to the track, look like he was almost perpendicular to the track. The s2k shouldn't have slowed when the porsche rounded him, i think it surprised him and that's why he slowed, if he had kept on it he would of left the porche behind. My take.

S2K probably thought the porche was going to blow him away in the turn and decided to maintain his own line. He didn't count on the porsche losing control and coming back across the track.

Bad driving by the P-car, late pass and didn't SLOW DOWN to enter the track after he left it.

of course the guy in the s2k kept his line, the porsche was running a wide corner, aside from losing control, what smart/halfway intelligent driver would wip across the track like that back to the inside for no reason.

I think he actually called the Porche's drivers daughter a whore. Sounded like he said "tuo figlia e butana" lol.

P-Car driver was dumb. He shouldn't have passed the guy in the Honda like that. It didn't look like a race, just looked like a normal track day so he had no reason to be aggressive like that.
