so hear it is i was at a bimmer meet, (kinda bummed cause a lot of no shows). i left 10 min after mcoupebobby, and on my way to the freeway entrance, the new 2 door mercedes slk 340?????? came up on my asss like crazy. i kinda ignored it untill he kept zig zagging through traffic(probably to get in the front) and jumped to the far left lane on a three lane road. so i decided to give him a taste of bmw performance, NOT TO MENTION HIS GF WAS IN THE CAR WHEN I SPANKED HIM!!!:D :D any who we got to a stop lighthes in the left lane a car in the middle and im in the right lane. the freeway entrance was a little more that an eighth mile away. as soon as the light turned green i paused just a second to see what he would do( which made the victory even sweeter) and he started to accelarate pretty quick but just enough not to peel out. im now about 3/4 of a car length behind him when i power through 1st and 2nd, by the start of third he was a car behind and still dropping .......oh btw did i say that as i passed him i blew a kiss to his girl, totally classic. any who about 3-4 cars back and dropping he decided to brake off, i hit the freeway on ramp and cruzed home grinning:buttrock :stickoutt :D :D

they do make an slk280. i'm sure that's what you raced because there is no way you should be pulling that much on a 350. they runs 13's at trap anywhere form 101 to 104.

next time ask him if he's planning on flooring it before you do your "fly-by".

its totally believeable even if it was the slk350. my buddys 350z beats my other friends slk350 by a good car and I beat the Z by a good 2 cars and my friend here has the same mods as me.

the new SLK and the current C-class are offered in manual. for SLK280/350 and C230/230k/350 sport. newer model of the last SLK also had manual option for the 230k/320. not as bad as ppl think, but if i'd buy a manual car I'll take the Bimmer.

Has anyone ever had a girlfriend/wife in their car that would care either way if you won/lost a race?

My wife doesn't care if I race someone (as long as it is in moderation and with NO traffic) and could care less of the outcome.

I'm not bashing you, but would honestly like to know if anyone's significant other in the car ever actually cared or if somehow my handhood should feel insulted because someone purchased a car fast than mine and I have a girl in the car with me.

When I was in college, my old roommate had a Ninja and one time he beat a guy in a 911 with a hot girl. He would brag about "how embarrassed the guy should have been for losing." Seems to me the guy with the 911 AND the hot girl was the winner.

They run 0-60 5.5, 1/4 of 14.0 secs as per factory data

My girlfriend loves trying to find cars that would put up a good fight, then tries to get me to pull neck-and-neck in the hopes they're interested in a little freeway fun (conditions permitting, of course).

She's actually getting pretty good. I think one of my favorite moments was when my girlfriend sent me this text message:

"Mclaren F1, Saleen S7 TT, 2 Mercedes SLRs, Ferrari F355 in a row on Sunset Blvd! I came 6 times."

(the sixth time was obviously because of the second turbo on the Saleen).

I do know that mb manual is prety crappy. My buddy use to have a c class coupe in manual and that things tranny was rediculous. You could barely tell it was in gear the tranny was so flopy. Im saying, it would be nice if benz made a good solid manual sports car with a manual tranny that is as good as its motor.
