Hi All,
Got a friend who is looking at a 2005 X3. Need to know what to look for and what to avoid. Keep in mind I live in Canada, and the winters are REALLY cold, Like -30 C. So any winter problems would be helpful.
Cheers

I won't be much help other than my comment. I have a 06' X3 with 30K miles and have not had a single problem with it (Knock on wood). I live in Germany and drive my vehicle at 100+ every single day. I drive 2 hours every weekend to my wife’s house and set the cruise on 110 and let it go. Other than shitty gas mileage (my fault of course), I have no complaints.

You X3's might all come with it. My wife loves the heated steering wheel on her 07 X3si. But the heating in the rear seats is not great. There are no outlets in the back of the console, and its not very warm back there. I think the cold weather package has heated rear seats.
We got to test it this winter in a could of good snows, (for Indiana) 12-15 inches and it handled that just fine.
Good luck, Mark
