Dinan doesn't offer one, but I have seen posts by 7 Series owners who mentioned having one in their list of mods. Who do I call, and if you have one, did it make a difference, or was it for looks?

View Full Version : Who makes a tower brace for 7 Series? mikey 07-02-2001, 10:12 AM Dinan doesn't offer one, but I have seen posts by 7 Series owners who mentioned having one in their list of mods. Call them at 1 877 RD SPORT guysimpson 07-10-2001, 11:40 PM Forgot to mention that the brace was for e32 cars. Bimmerhead 07-11-2001, 09:45 PM Mine is from Bavarian Autosport. There is a pic of it on page 4 of my site @ CarDomain.com. Hope that worked...first time posting urls. http://members.cardomain.com/bimmerhead Cheers michael.einspahr 07-12-2001, 08:28 PM Mine is a 1994 e32. Thanks Guy. Bimmerhead, your 740 is an inspiration. Great pictures at CarDomain.com. I took mine to the track last month but didn't get pictures. Maybe next time. It looks like you were leaning in the corners at page 6. That Dinan suspension really helps, but these are heavy cars. (All that weight raises hell with the brakes on the track.) I have the Dinan Stage II suspension in mine, but they told me I didn't need the Dinan brake mods since I don't track mine as often or as seriously as you do yours. Did the brake mods or the tower brace make noticable differences? I too dream of a turbo or supercharger, but I think I will wait till I can trade into a BMW with a manual gear box first. I have been thinking about 17 or 18 inch wheels next, to get the full feel of the upgraded suspension. I am still looking into whether the Z-8 wheels fit, because I like the look better than the 740 sport parallel M spoke wheels. Bekkers says that they fit. See www.bekkers.com. if you are curious and if you want to compare them to the 740 Sport wheels. I think that 18 inches might be too much for the street, and could result in alot of bent wheels. Personally, I like the look of your wheels, but the dealer couldn't confirm the later model 740 wheels would fit my 1994 e32 and the Z8 wheels (from Bekkers) are less expensive. How noisy is the Dinan exhaust? I only need two more points to get a Dinan badge for the rear of my 740. I don't think the power increase at the very top of the rpm range or the badge is probably worth $1000, especially if it is too noisy. What is your recommendation? Thanks, mike e (mikey) |
