We are picking up right where we left off with a Track day at Autobahn once again.

:D THIS TIME ITS ON A SUNDAY:D

South Course HERE WE COME!

15 Turns, 4 700 ft plus straights (including a 1850ft back straight)
2.1 miles long

When: Sunday May 20th 7am - 5pm
Where: Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL
Cost: $225.00 Per person and $200 if you are returning AMS track day guest

Last year we finished off the season on Autobahn south and it was a BLAST! We had TONS of track time and a really laid back atmosphere.

So lets do it again





We will have many instructors on staff to help polish your skills

AMS will be supplying an on site technician for any small repairs / diagnosis

All registrants will receive a free AMS T-shirt at the track.

Please call the shop to sign up. We are only allowing the first 80 cars to sign up. THATS IT!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! This will fill up FAST!

Upon registering for the event you will be placed in a run group based on your skill level and sent a receipt and a track packet containing the details for the days event.

Yeah it seems like that at pretty much all the DE's this year. It's a conspiracy.

Rates for Autobahn rentals have gone up. Not to mention that this trackday is on a weekend, Huge difference in price.

Some overview things for the track day, most of you should already know this.
Belts: Fan, alternator, A/C and power steering belts are tight and not cracked.
Battery: Properly secured, terminals clean and in good condition.
Body: All panels must be secured and not rubbing on tires or scrapping ground.
Brakes: Pads must have at least 50% material left. Rotors must meet factory specs and have no excessive surface cracks. Brake lines must be clear of wheels and not have any cracks. Fresh brake fluid is highly recommended before each event.
Engine: Motor mounts must be in good condition. NO OIL LEAKS! NO FUEL LEAKS!
Cooling System: Radiator, hoses and reservoir must be in good condition. NO LEAKS!
Lights: Brake lights must be in working order.
Mirrors: At least one rear view mirror must be securely mounted.
Seat Belts: Must be securely mounted, in good condition. OEM Belts or DOT Approved.
Tires: Street tires must have at least 3/32" tread depth. Race Tires must be in good condition with no cracks or bulges in side walls or cords showing.
Wheels: Lug nuts must be torqued to factory specs. Bent or Cracked wheels are not acceptable.
Windshield: No cracks or obstructions. All devices hanging from the mirror must be removed.

Shame it was spoiled by the idiot that dropped oil round half the track on the third lap of the first session causing an hour delay.
I was surprised how many other cars had mechanical failures, I think 5 in total and 1 accident damage out of around 60 cars.

With this being my first track day it took a bit of getting used to the track and finding the right line but I was able to snag two of the instructors to go out with me and show me the correct line.

Yeah I hit some of that oil going through turn 10 before they started waiving flags and spun. Does anyone know where that guy who was taking pictures on track post them? I tried evolutionm.net but couldn't find any.
