hey im new to the forum and after just picking up a 325i vert i realized the trunk latch needs more than just adjusting. took it to a local shop and they told me the trunk lid was cracked.

Question is, Could this be the reason for my top not even moving when the button is pressed? When i push the top back (past the tension point) and then press the button nothing happens. Anyone able to help out? thanks

I knew there were a few things wrong with the car when i got it. Picked it up for wholesale price from my old boss' lot. got the car for half of the sticker price (7000CDN) with a 1year ptrain warranty so i expect to spend a bit to have the car working perfectly. Other than the top everything else is in decent shape.
