View Full Version : E36 M3 Ground Control Track school Kit
hinzm3 04-01-2007, 11:03 PM E36 M3 track school kit with RSMs. Spring rates are 525 Front 600 Rear 20k miles on setup. One of the rear ride height adjusters is worn at the top but my car was at 11.75" rear so unless you want to go higher than 12.75"ish it shouldn't be an issue. Has the koni adjuster knob with it. SOLD

Erik L 04-01-2007, 11:23 PM Would you consider offers at this point?
Couple of questions.
Do you have front camber plates I could buy to go with it? If not will it work with the stock top hats?
Why are you changing?
Thanks

I just really put them up for sale so I'd like to stick to the price. They are boxed up and ready to ship tomorrow. If they don't sell in a week or two then I might lower the price. I think the kit new is around 1600
I do not have camber plates but they will work with your stock strut hats. I'm getting a deal on a DA setup.
Erik L 04-01-2007, 11:50 PM OK I will get back to you in the morning with a firm decision...as always the timing is not quite right. :-)
m3fosho 04-02-2007, 12:35 AM are these the top adjust konis?
WTFPENGUIN 04-02-2007, 12:41 AM wow, i've been wanting these for awhile, but I blew a grand this weekend..hmm
bluemoon2222 04-02-2007, 10:45 AM Could you take a pic of the damage on the rear ride height adjuster?
Was your car tracked on these coilovers?? If so, how many hours etc? Trying to gauge the overall condition of these versus new.

Yes they are

here is a pic of that adjuster. You still have about 5-6 turns which would probably give you a rear ride height of 12.75 or 13. I think 13 is stock height.
I did track on this suspension about 3k track miles probably but imo street driving is worse on shocks than tracking.

Erik L 04-02-2007, 01:09 PM Nuts, I cant pull the trigger right now...argh, I have been waiting for one of these!!
SQ Bimmer 04-02-2007, 01:11 PM I have a friend that may pick these up. I will refer him to this thread.
mitchelrl 04-02-2007, 11:00 PM without the camber plates, did you have a lot of negative camber? What was the drop like up front? Any pics of your car with this suspension on it?

I can't remember what my camber was when I was running stock strut hats. I think somewhere in the -1.5-1.9 range with swapped hats. Pics theres a few here http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=598944
the drop doesn't really matter as its adjustable so make it as low or high as you wish.....
Price is to high for 20k with a damaged part.

ok, thanks for playing.
The adjusters get worn from the spring popping on/off when you go up driveways ect. That one was on my passenger rear and when I go up my driveway it always pops. Its really not an issue unless you wanted to go stock height with your coilovers. A new adjuster is around 60-80 if I recall correctly. You're more than welcome to plop down the 1600 for a new set

Yes. Koni NA makes you send in a DNA sample, a picture of you in front of your car, and your Social Security number, before they allow you to make a warranty claim.
No, but really, you need to have an RMA number, proof of purchase, and the registration to your car showing your name (so they can match up the receipt name to the registration name).
