There were in the kicker panels of my E30. I put all new speakers in, so I have no use for these. These DO work (had them looked @ when I got my stereo put in). They're just a little dirty. Retailed for $80 when they were new, I'm wanting $40 obo for the pair + shipping.

How much power do they need?

i assume not much, they were added to the stock stereo. I have 4 new speaks in mine w/ more power, and no amp.
