TerryY 03-31-2007, 10:55 PM If you can hang in there a bit the TT manifolds should become "commercially" available. That is supposed to be the tough part. When that happens there will be a line around the block waiting for them from the amount of interest on the Roadfly forum. I also have a 1988 5.0 mustang convertible. I just joined the forum last night I will be posting my pictures soon. pumpedTSI 04-01-2007, 06:48 PM John is for sure the man to talk to about the home grown TT project............he has it (the tuning) down to a science now......... e31bubba 04-20-2007, 11:59 PM man if thats true about the manifolds then i'm going to have to start looking for a 850 to go along with my 840 ratmoul 08-10-2007, 02:41 AM I have an 850 that i have been considering attempting the twin turbo addition to. Has anyone tried to contact Dinan to see if they might be willing to give up some info on this such as exhaust manifolds, fuel and ignition changes and turbo/ piping sizing and routing? This may sound like an odd question but is it true that the 5.0 ltr V-12 is actually two 2.5 ltr sixes on a common crank? Why I ask is that beautiful stainless turbo exhaust manifolds exist for the 2.5/2.8 engines. Are the exhaust port spacings the same as on the V-12. Would a piggyback fuel control unit with it's own extra injector and a variable flow that increased with boost pressure handle the extra fuel requirements if combined with 20 lb injectors? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks Tom (ratmoul) IraSummers 08-14-2007, 09:42 AM I have an 850 that i have been considering attempting the twin turbo addition to. Annywaise, the 6cyl manifold might work for the left bank, but the right bank would be pointing into the radiator. Hope this helps a little bit... Long6 08-24-2007, 06:48 AM I dont know much about turbos but this tuner has some superchargers might want to check it http://www.koenig-specials.com/bmw/bmw850-2%20(not%20used).html#Anchor-50867 |
