I tried searching the archives, but didn't find anything on this topic.

I'm looking to get a CD-43 and plan on upgrading to aftermarket amps and speakers later on. Can the factory headunit's output be matched to aftermarket amps? Do I need a line level converter? Or, are there any quality amps that take speaker level inputs? I have an a/d/s amp that I would like to use, but I heard that line level converters add noise, etc.

Yeah line converters do introduce some noise compared to RCA's but it's the only way to do what you're trying to do...
