Hmm you just fold it in by hand.
Sorry if that's sound stupid. I wouldn't know what else.
Pop up? What would pop up then?
You unlock it from the windshield and push it all the way up and over the tension point.
Then you lift the window bow to vertical. Then you unlock the storage lid and lift it up.
Then the roof should just fold down into the storage compartment.

I'd get a deflector but I often have people in the back.

Hey,
I have a blanket I had sewn for my car. It goes across the front two seat and helps quite a bit.
Has anyone else tried this?

Huh? You have a blanket over the seat backs? A better description would be helpful.:confused

Well it is a blanket material cover that I slip over the two front seats and then pull it kind of tight behind me on the driver's seat. If I am in the car alone I can put the passenger seat belt on the seat and have not had any problems with it blowing off. Once it did try to sail out of the cabin but I was leaned back and then reached up and pulled it back in. (now I just use the seat belt.)
We used it last fall for a fall foliage trip to Arkansas and it worked like a charm. On cold days I have a hat or ski cap on with a light jacket.
It might not be high tech but it works pretty well. Here in central OK I have been known to drive down the highway in the winter with the top down.
I always though it was just wrong to have the top up if the weather was clear.
Pretty day, why not top down. I have a heated garage so we can warm up the car and top after if needed.
I learned of this one day when someone put an indian blanket over the two front seats as a joke. Well I drove down the road and noted the fact that it was calm and I had heat....
