one of my friends has a modded audi 1.8t quattro. We hadnt been friends but for only a short period of time so he didnt know what kind of bimmer i had(since its de-bagged) i told him i had a 318is w/ exhaust. i asked him if he thought he could beat me in a race. he wanted to find out so i proposed that we race on the street that our building was on.

We did a quick run from a 40 roll. he jumped me off the roll but i immediatly cought up in the top and smoked him. We turned around at the u-turn section to go back and he got beside me again, we got up to forty then i jumped. he started pulling on me but only because the road was curvey on the way back and i didnt want to kill somebody.

so i let off alittle, as soon as i let off a cop flew by us in the other direction, we both say him and slammed on the breaks. i had just gotten a ticket the week before, i wasnt looking for a street racing charge to. the cop tailed us just long enough so we could pull into our school parking lot before he flashed his lights. He gave us some bullshit about doing 60 in a 35, (we really did about 110 but whos counting) then he said that my liscecne wasnt the right class, but because our school rakes in soooo much money for this lame town, and probally funds his paycheck, he let us off with warnings.



....but i still smoked and audi 1.8t quattro...LOL.....HELL YEAH BIMMERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you lied And said you had a 318...:confused Why not just say you had a 325is? and I want you to be aware that a modded 1.8t would kick the shit out of your stock m50 unless i'm just drunk and don't understand what the fuck your trying to get out. Could be...

I had an A4 1.8T before....just with a chip ($300) theyre up to 210hp....He was really a crappy driver or really wasnt modded very well...And A4's are pretty badass...with a simple turbo upgrade to a K04($800 all said and done) theyre up to about 240hp+ ...you keep going a little more and with about $3k of mods, youre looking at 320hp+ but then thats about as far as they go :(

"BIMMERS RULE!" doesnt apply here...lol, my A4 would romp on your 325is, even in the twisties :)

the only reason that i said that i had a 318 is because kids down here dont race unless they think they can win. in his case he didnt, yest his 1.8t was modded but so was my 325. he told me that he was making 200 to the crank, if im not mistaken a 325 makes 192 to the crank, considering that my motor was just rebuilt, i have lsd, and a dinan intake, and dont lose to drivetrain lose up in the top rpm, i think that my kill was valid. plus i weigh 200 less pounds. IM sorry but a4s arent that fast, believe me i was literally almost about to buy one before i found my bimmer. so i still say that bimmers rule. mine may not be as fast as a super modded a4, but it was fast enough to get the job done last night.

Some people will rain on anybody's kill parade even when the outcome is likely. Stock 4 stock it's not a contest, the 325 will win. A chipped 325 will still take a chipped A4. Forget the "with this mod", "with that mod" scenario. With their current set up, the 325 won.

I used to have a 99 1.8t quattro, and it is slow (stock of course)..lol Glorified VW with many electrical problems, atleast mine did.

It all depends on mods.

Stock for stock, a 1.8T will get rocked by a 325 no problem. Spend $5-6k on mods, it'll be close to an E46 M3

I know a 1.8T is not as fast as an M3, duh! I've had both, and yeah, the M3 is hands down the all around better car, in every sense of the word

APR 93 octaine racing chip
stage 1 clutch / light weight flywheel
upgraded dv



I run pretty well with just about anything I race. - I dont loose very often. Meaning, can I beat an M3? - No - Does it mean I can beat a Ford GT - Absolutely.

Hope that makes sense.

With current mods i'm faster than a 225. - Considerably actually. As for the times...mine is a FWD (Not all 180's are FWD) - Back to the point though. - Depending on launch I can average between 5.9 - PERFECT launch - Haven't had it happen yet. To an average with some wheel spin to 6.2/6.5.


Its not ungodly fast - However My car doesn't just die out shortly after 60 - it will pull all the way to 120/130 - So it makes for a decent 1/4th mile. - I believe my last one was just over 14.2/3 (Its been quite awhile)


Now my R6 ...hehe - thats like 0 - 60 (3.0ish) and Low 10's/High 9's in a 1/4mile :evil2
