There is a perfect mint condition White 850CSI M-tech 6spd at our local dealer, its in on service (guess not 100% mint lol). But this is truly an awesome 8, has the m-tech body kit, quad exhaust, m-tech door knobs ect ect. I drool every time i see this thing.
Jw how rare a find like this is?

All of the M-Technic parts were standard on the CSi.
Looks like 1510 for the world, with 225 of them coming to the USA.

These are really rare! I was looking for one for a while. They are mostly all traceable...but almost impossible to find for sale...BE CAREFUL...there are a few 850Ci's out there with the CSi badging and body flares, but NOT the real McCoy! REMEMBER TO RUN THE VIN's!

If the VIN starts with WBS it is a real 850 CSi
If the VIN starts with WBA is is just a normal run of the mill 8 Series like mine:)
The only body change for the CSI was the front and rear bumper/spoiler parts and the Motorsport trim bits. All of which are now in common usage on other 8's.
BMW even got into the act by equipping the later Sport versions in Europe with all of the CSi/M-tech trim.
BTW the CORRECT mirrors for a US 850 CSi are the same Dumbo mirrors as the standard 8 series cars. Euro 850 CSi have the streamlined M-tech mirrors. Blame it on the government:(

What are the other "mototsport trim bits" you speak of?
My dad has a '97 850Ci, with the M-Tech mirrors, CSi Throwing stars, and the front plate delete panel.

Front Spoiler and rear diffuser, ///M door sill, CSi Wood Trim, Red needles instead of white in the gauges, ///M logo on the shifter, "BMW Motorsport" stamped door handle, and a lot more for the US version of the CSi.
For Euro there are additional bits, ///M oil cap, All wheel steering (Rear active axel), Headlight washer system, 2 tone leather for Individual models, Sport Mirrors, Engine oil cooler, Differential and tranny oil cooler, Euro light assembles with H1, Motorized headlight adjustment from the dash, LKM upgrade to have ALL of the lights on at the same time and much more.
My car has almost all of the euro except the 2 tone leather.
