Just was going to Dunkin Donuts with my s50 M3, a white SLK pulls up behind me on the middle lane of the Cross Island Pkwy, so I went to the right lane, he follows, at that point I said this guy wants to race. So I dropped 3rd, and pressed on it...he was 2 cr behind me, staying close.

Then a slight curve going into the Belt Pkwy, I may have gained 1/2 car more, but he was there, I let him pass, then a little congestion, I followed him and was 1 car behind, he wasn't going anywhere until he drove recklessly, I let him go.

Fast car....how many horses do they have?
I played with my G-Tech Pro upon my next exit going back to Dunkin, registered a 4.74 0-60 with 252hp, I was happy.

Mods: 18' wheels, Stock chip, CAI, no cat, straight oversized pipe, 3.25 LSD, UC 12Lb. Flywheel and e34 M5 Clutch - on 18" wheels

The SKL 350's are anywhere from 225 to around 260 depending on year. Stay away from the 500 or the AMG. There are nice little Cars.

The SLK350 is 268HP...and you can get one in a 6-speed manual. They're pretty quick.

All SLK350's have, as vegaseric pointed out, 268hp - with either a 7 speed auto or 6 speed manual. Generally they run high 13's/low 14's at just over 100mph in the 1/4. The previous gen SLK320 had the 215hp V6 and ran low 15's. There has been no "500" model SLK - you're probably thinking of the larger SL series. There have been two AMG model SLK's; previous gen SLK32 with an S/C'd V6 rated at 349hp and the current SLK55 with a 5.4L V8 rated at 355hp. I'm kinda partial to that last one *L*.

I pulled up next to a slk55 and got my ass handed to me (as I expected).

no. the stock AMG 5.5 has only around 370. supercharged ones are 497-500. the new 6.2 (so called 63) has 513.

328iJunkie, the motor in my e30M3 is an S50 3.0 with rated 240hp, I have no cat, etc....so 252hp is not way off.

Is that thing rating crank or whp? cause if its crank hp i guess i can see that but def. not whp. Ide be lucky to get 252 whp.
