When I close the door on my 1993 318is the window goes down automatically about a inch. When I open the door and close it again it goes down another inch. When I try to put the window up I have to press the switch on and off and on and off until I can get the window to go up.

Any ideas as to what is wrong..?

take it to the dealer....... and ask to trade it for a real bmw, like a 325 or higher :)

my friend's got a convert. 318 - 1997 --- what a hunk of crap.

lol...dude that was mean.

FIVEPTOHH: It could be something as simple as a resistor gone bad. My M3 Mirror does something similar where it rolls down no problem, then rolls up and back down, by itself.

If i can figure it out, i'll let you know.
