:(

today i was driving home from school. i was waiting at a stop light behind an suv. a stupid kid in a honda accord was trying to look at his girlfriend's boobs and crashed into me, slamming me into the suv. the douche hit me so hard, my radio flew out. my phone flew out of my hand onto the floor. my car was damaged the worst out of the three cars involved. i assume his insurance is going to pay for everything because i did not receive a ticket. we wil be at the project day but in some shitty rental car. i'm taking brandon tomorrow so we can take some pics. why are all the mofos having such bad luck with accidents these days? :mad

edit: bodyshop recommendations?

when you go to the shop to get the repairs done, you can generally provide the part on your own, especially if the car is paid in full (as then the check from ins will go right to you)... if you do go to the shop you may be able to bargain your own part use in order to do other things to the car for the exchange $... such as touch up paint elsewhere, tint, performance upgrades, labor for other installs, etc ;)

Fear of something like this happening to my 325 vert is the reason I bought a POS 318. Everyone's ADD around here, either thinking about the money they're gonna lose or about the money they've already lost.

So sorry. I hope you fix up okay, not to mention your technoviolet M3. Love that color.

this man speaks the truth. just bring your own parts in and have them put them in. the shops dont really care what happens as long as they get paid.

sorry to hear about the accident carrie. thanh and i were just talking about how bad ass M3/4's were. you will be up and running in no time.

here's a thought! tell them that the collision was so hard that it broke your trunk lock. boom... now you will be able to open your trunk.

Damn, at least you are OK! We almost got rear-ended a couple times in the Civic coming back from South Padre on Monday.

I always try to brake early to give myself extra distance in case the idiot behind my doesn't see me, but when you're stopped there's not much you can do! How is your rear bumper? If your rear quarter panels are both screwed, you may have a very high repair cost and possibly a total coming... hopefully the bumper did its job.

Biggest fear I have about being rear ended these days. Again, hope all works out and if it's not too painful, try to get some pics of the damage :( You should try to work an aftermarket exhaust or lowrise ltw into the insurance cost. Also, not sure how it works, but YOURS insurance may have to go after HIS insurance for the damage done the the vehicle in front of you. Can't remember if you said all that stuffs been figured out, but you may want to touch base with your agent if you haven't.

i have already talked to my agent, he and i are pretty much friends so he does a lot for me. hes a really great guy. the boser hood looks good for thanh but its not for me. guess im just too plain. funny thing is i do have new parts coming. if my nose panel looks good enough then i will probably just let them use it and pocket the money for it.
on the other hand, yes my bumper did its job and well. my trunk is too high up from where he hit but i did think about that. the rear has the least amount of damage because when he slammed me into the girl in from of me i pretty much went under her since she was in an suv. everything in the front is smashed upwards.
its ok though, i needed a new hood anyways. mine had a ton of rock chips in it. this happening just gets thanh the easy way out. hahaha
i still love you thanh and dont worry, i will find SOMETHING for you to work on when its finished. haha
thanks for all of your concern guys. im VERY sore today but i will be alright.

Hint, if you want to make women happy learn to be compassionate and a listener. Women are FS feeling sharers, and men are PS problem solvers. They hate it when we try to solve their problems. Especially when we are in an intimate relationship with them.

It had nothing to do with her being a woman and I wasn't trying to tell her how to drive because the info would've been useless to her, hence why I said "but that doesn't help when you are stopped." I was just giving some off topic drivel on my own experience because I am constantly afraid of being rear ended as well.

If you want to take it like I was trying to be an asshole male chauvinist, then by all means enjoy yourself. I make my wife plenty happy, but she also knows not to take it personally or out of context when I am regurgitating information that may or may not be useful to the general populous, so I would think most other people are capable of this as well. When I need a psychology book to help me have a healthy relationship, I will call you.

I guess we should just delete all posts that aren't useful to every SINGLE person reading them and I will never supply any of my own experiences ever again. Sheesh chill out. Sorry for the OT Carrie.

Rear looked to be roughly 1500 - 2000.
