It was a relly warm Auguts afternoon when I decided take my 96Z3 l.9L for a quick spin, top down and that red paint gleaming in the sun. I felt a little frisky and wicked that day. Then "she" pulled along side. Big and blue with a throaty engine sound between that of Winston series stocker and a 350 hp power boat. I knew from the idle that the intent was to make a dash from the light. Could my manhood be at stake this day? Would I wimp out by looking in the rearview mirror to see if a cop was close by and fail to "get off the line"? I just knew today was the test. I responded with a few quick stabs of the gas pedal and watched the revs climb. The light turned amber. This was it. I could feel the pressure, began to sweat, palms were gripping the wheel. Suddenly the light turned green! I floored it. The Clutch sprag out, the wheels chirped. Now I was in second, what a shift from first! I was about to go into third when the light ahead turned red.Drats. I won. I won. My first race in my shiney red Z3! What a day! I'm sure the driver of that big "Blue Bird" bus will never forget the day that little red Z3 blew him off! ):
