Does anyone know how much the ticket costs if you get written up for not having a front plate? Thanks

(Mounted in the front) BavariaMotorist 03-27-2007, 12:34 PM Was $90 in Nassau county for me. That's NY, though, sorry. CT88 03-27-2007, 01:21 PM Not to hijack your thread, but does anyone know what the chances of getting pulled over with euro plates are? (Mounted in the front) Probably around 8.36% but my math is a little off. I always figured if you had a Euro plate it stood out more than with no plate so they would pull you over more than if you ran with no plate. It depends on the town though, but your chances are higher than if you had nothing at all. GODJESUS 03-27-2007, 03:54 PM I have a euro plate on my BMW for over a year and no plate on my rabbit, never got a ticket. ITs really not a big deal. Oh, and i drive ALOT too, 50 some odd thousand last year alone! RANE2001 03-28-2007, 04:12 PM Depends on the town. In NYC its $100. as me how I know :-( FUCKK NYPD ians325 03-28-2007, 06:40 PM if you put the license plate on the inside of the windshield will they still pull you over? jiggawat2000 03-28-2007, 06:42 PM its ugly in the windshielddd. I would love not to have the front liscene plate.. some states I belive dont require it. Do ur research. Id rather have a nice bmw emblem there! p166mmx73 03-28-2007, 06:54 PM The dealer didn't install my front license plate bracket when I got my car, so I am going to try getting out of the ticket by arguing that the car doesn't include a front license plate bracket. Worse case, I'll throw it behind my windshield. I always thought it was nasty when I saw other people do it, but I don't want to drill holes in my front bumper now. Grey Phox 03-28-2007, 08:58 PM if you put the license plate on the inside of the windshield will they still pull you over? Yes. At least they do with me. If they see it there, they see it where its not supposed to be. GENE328is 03-30-2007, 01:36 AM dont ever put it on the windshield...that just screams "pull me over" wildkarde 03-30-2007, 09:00 AM you can call the nj dmv and they'll tell you the exact law and fine for breaking it. might have to wade thru a few teleprompts but they have the info there. also...NO WINDOW plates. looks like ur tryna hide something. ...fortunately NC is a one plate only state bmwbonehead 03-30-2007, 09:10 AM dont ever put it on the windshield...that just screams "pull me over" It also screams 'sharp flying projectile that will cut your head off in an accident'. I'm getting bumper plugs and ditching that damn plate. GG///M3 03-31-2007, 09:07 AM 85 bucks in yonkers. |
